Welcome

Hi! I’m a 5th-year Accounting PhD candidate at University of Hong Kong. I will be on the 2024-2025 academic job market.

My research primarily focuses on supply chain financing—a field with pioneering work rooted in finance and economics since the 1970s (see Schwartz, R. A. 1974 and works by Professor Mariassunta Giannetti at the Stockholm School of Economics) and gaining increased attention in accounting in recent years (see works by Professor Anna Costello at the University of Chicago).

At a high level, my research provides three key insights: (1) why private firms are disadvantaged in the trade credit market despite their greater demand (my JMP), (2) how financial information and regulation lead to reallocation within the trade credit market, and (3) the role of trade credit networks in stabilizing or destabilizing the macroeconomy.

Additionally, my work seeks to expand the traditional “financing advantage” motive for extending trade credit by incorporating factors such as taxation and quality warranty considerations through empirical analysis.
